The products produced by Mullite have the characteristics of high temperature resistance, high strength, small thermal conductivity and remarkable energy saving effect. They are suitable for the lining of petroleum cracking furnace, metallurgical hot blast furnace, ceramic roller kiln, tunnel kiln, electric porcelain drawer kiln, glass crucible kiln and various electric furnaces, and can directly contact the flame. Mullite products are refractory materials in stainless steel precision casting process, generally mixed with zirconium powder, with high pressure resistance, tensile resistance, protect the model from deformation, fracture, leakage of molten steel and other functions.

Mullite is made of local hard clay, the main component of which is kaolinite. The appearance is light gray, gray or gray, with conch section, and the surface is slightly smooth. The clinker after calcination is white, nearly white or mixed with light yellow. Chemical composition: aluminum oxide 30% ~ 50%, silicon oxide 40% ~ 60%.

The typical mullite is 38% alumina before calcination and 44% alumina after calcination, with stable chemical properties. Due to the sedimentary deposit of coke gem ore system, the composition is stable, the structure is very dense, without bedding, the particles are very fine, the plasticity index is less than 1.0, and it is easy to be weathered and broken into fragments.

Molai sand is the representative of high quality hard clay in China. Burnt stones are generally referred to as CALCINED CLAY. It is formed after coking gem ore calcined at high temperature. The content of alumina and ferric oxide in calcined mullite is about 44 percent and less than 2 percent. The composition is stable, the texture is uniform, the structure is compact, the section is conch.
