Introduction of Quartz Powder
Quartz powder which is white amorphous powder and lightweight has the original particle size of less than 0.3μm, the relative density of 2.319-2.653 and the melting point of 1,750℃, forms polymer fine particles after moisture absorption, has very high insulativity, is insoluble in water and acid and soluble in caustic soda and hydrofluoric acid, is not decomposed at high temperature, and has water absorption property, chemical inertness to substrates, active ingredients and additives and good compatibility with many active ingredients frequently used in vitamins, hormones, fluorides, antibiotics, enzyme preparations and cosmetics. The quartz powder has large dispersion force in crude rubber due to porosity and large specific surface area, and has high reinforcing performance when filled in rubber.
Introduction of Quartz Sand
Quartz sand, a non-metallic mineral, refers to river sand, sea sand, weathered sand and so on which contain a large amount of silicon dioxide and is a hard and wear-resistant silicate mineral with stable chemical properties. Its main mineral component is SiO2. The quartz sand which is milk white or colorless and transparent and has the hardness of 7 is an important industrial mineral raw material and a non-dangerous chemical, and is widely used for glass industry, casting industry, ceramic and refractory materials, ferrosilicon smelting, flux for metallurgy, metallurgy industry, building industry, chemical industry, plastic industry, rubber industry, abrasive industry and so on.
